The Capital City Youth Violence Coalition (CCYVC), formerly called Trenton Prevention Policy Board, is a group of local stakeholders meets on a regular basis to address the issue of juvenile crime and promote positive youth development in the city of Trenton. This grassroots effort is advanced through the development of policy, program and practice recommendations that are published in an annual report. The board is an open and inclusive coalition, and invites community members, practitioners and administrators to join the meetings and add to the vital conversations being had to help the youth of our city. Supported by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office of Community Justice and facilitated by The College of New Jersey’s Center for Community Engaged Learning and Research, the CCYVC is part of the statewide effort known as the Municipal Crime Prevention Initiative to address youth violence.
